Before you commit

Is there a monthly fee?
No. There is no subscription, no per-seat charge and no per-server charge. You buy credits once and they stay on your account until you use them. If you stop using it for three months, you have not paid anything in the meantime.
What does 300 free credits actually get me?
Comfortably enough to put it to work on real problems: finding out why an application keeps restarting, what filled a disk, why a site is down, and applying the fixes. It is not enough for a first deploy onto a bare server. How much that costs depends heavily on what you are deploying: a small site can finish for a few hundred credits, while a full application with a database and a certificate behind it runs into the low thousands. If a deploy is what you want to test first, top up before you start so you are not interrupted halfway through.
Do credits expire?
No. They sit on the account until they are spent. Nothing resets at the end of a month and nothing is lost if you have a quiet quarter.
Can I get a surprise bill?
No, and this is the reason for the model rather than a happy side effect. Credits are prepaid. When they run out the agent stops making model calls and tells you, instead of continuing and invoicing you later. Topping up is always a deliberate act.
What actually uses credits?
Only the AI work. Reading a log or checking an application costs credits because the model reasons about the output, but the software itself, the servers you connect and the number of people using it are all free. A short question costs very little. A long session across several servers costs more, and the app shows you what each one used, broken down by day and by model.
Do I need a card to start?
No. The free credits are granted when you create the account, with nothing to enter and nothing to cancel.
Can we pay by invoice instead of card?
Yes, for larger volumes. Get in touch and we will set up invoicing against a purchase order, along with volume pricing on the credits themselves.
Why credits rather than a flat monthly price?
Because a flat price would either be too high for light users or make heavy sessions cost us more than they earn, and both of those end badly for somebody. Charging for what is used keeps it honest in both directions.
